Understand the work
Start with the people, process and systems involved. Identify the problem, constraints and decisions that still need an owner. Review whether an existing tool can reasonably meet the need.
Define the release
Turn priorities into scope, deliverables and acceptance criteria. Explain assumptions, exclusions and responsibilities, including content, access and third-party approvals.
Build and review
Work through the agreed priorities with visible review points. Record changes that affect scope or dependencies rather than letting them become silent assumptions.
Launch and hand over
Check the relevant customer journeys, document access and operating responsibilities, and agree what happens after release. Ongoing maintenance is defined separately from project completion.
