Mobile app handover checklist

Mobile app handover checklist

A mobile app handover should transfer the ability to build, release and operate the app, not just a source-code archive. Organization-owned accounts and signing arrangements are central.

Source and build knowledge

Collect the repository, dependency versions, build instructions and environment configuration. Verify that another authorized person can produce the expected build.

Accounts and signing

Identify the owners of store accounts, certificates, signing keys and backend services. Transfer access through supported mechanisms rather than sharing personal passwords.

Product and operational records

Include API contracts, supported devices, known issues, release history and monitoring responsibilities. Explain how support requests and incidents reach an owner.

Verify the handover

Run a controlled build and release-preparation exercise. Record missing dependencies and revoke access that is no longer needed after the transfer.

Sources and further reading

Sources support the stated technical context. The planning recommendations are Orvenant's assessment.
