React Native development

Mobile development that builds on your React skills.

React Native development for iOS and Android products. Share the parts that make sense while respecting the native behavior each platform needs.

Share development without erasing platform differences.

React Native can be a useful direction when an iOS and Android product needs a connected experience and the team has React experience. We still start with the product tasks and required device features. The choice depends on the native modules, release process and long-term ownership, not on a promise that every screen or line of web code will transfer unchanged.

Define the app users will return to.

We agree the first complete journey, the data it needs and the platform behaviors that must be verified.

Product and interface

Navigation, account journeys, forms and reusable patterns are designed for mobile use. We cover slow connections, interrupted tasks and accessibility rather than only the clean first-run screen.

Native capabilities

Camera, notifications, location, secure storage or other device functions are scoped only when the product needs them. Each dependency is checked for maintenance and behavior on both operating systems.

Service connection

The app’s API, identity and data ownership are designed with server-side permissions and clear failure handling. An application should not rely on a hidden mobile control to protect customer information.

Account for two release environments.

A shared codebase still leads to separate device tests, platform permissions and store review paths. We identify the organization that owns signing credentials and app-store accounts before release planning. Framework and module updates can affect each platform differently, so the dependency set and upgrade route are part of the decision. If a required device feature needs native work, we say so.

Test real tasks on real devices.

Prototype screens reveal layout, but not every keyboard, notification, network or platform behavior. We validate the important journeys on representative iOS and Android devices and record what happens when a request is denied or interrupted. Review includes readable text, touch targets, recovery paths and how a user reaches support when the app cannot finish a task.

Make ownership clear from the first build.

The handover covers repository access, build instructions, signing custody, provider accounts, API contracts and a known route for future updates. Continued compatibility and support are separate operating responsibilities. We agree who reviews a new release and who responds if a store submission or connected service fails after launch.

Questions before we start.

Can our existing React website become the app?

Parts of product logic and design thinking may be reusable, but mobile navigation, device behavior and interface components need their own assessment. We review the current code and the intended mobile tasks before estimating reuse.

Will one codebase give identical iOS and Android apps?

A shared implementation can keep product behavior consistent, but each operating system has different controls, permissions and release checks. We test both and make any platform-specific work visible in scope.
